Default Center console buttons- Power Top

I tried to lower the top yesterday, The first time in five months as it's been winter here and found the button unresponsive. No light indication or audible signal. The button has no spring return in the down position and will stick down. It seems broken. The up position springs back and I can hear a faint click when depressed. There is no green light or chime to confirm the top is up. The down position has no response at all.
My dealer thinks the button is at fault but says individual buttons on the center cluster cannot be repaired or replaced. The entire cluster must be replaced at a cost of 1800.
Has anyone had any experience with this cluster? It's very easy to remove but can it be disassembled and repaired? I'm willing to give it a try if there's
a chance.

By chance it not your button in the glove box that been knock and it stops the top from dropping.
Worth opening and trying it, but as you say it could be a faulty button

If you are sure the issue is caused only by the button, not the ic board control, then you can order just the buttons.

Lexus does sell the whlole set of buttons (minus top row of nav buttons also sold separately) for msrp $153.7.
Parts number is 55905-24070.

Thanks for the info. I'm sure it's not the button itself, which is intact, but the switch underneath that has failed. The fact that Lexus sells the buttons indicates that the cluster can be taken apart. I will have a look inside before spending 1800 for a new one.

As for the lockouts, I have checked them all.
