BIG maintenance DONE!
Okay...so I trailered her to my buddies garage with my truck. If you look at the picture closely...you'll notice my truck is definitely only a half ton...LOL
Anyway...did the whole timing belt/water pump/pullies/drive belts/fluids/etc!
It was time consuming and I certainly wasn't rushing...took me about 7 hours or so including changing out the diff fluid. It was very, very easy...the only problem I ran into was the dang plastic clip holding the LB crank sensor plug to the timing-belt cover. You need to remove the plug from the clip in order to get the plug through the whole in the cover. I struggled with this clip for sometime...trying not to break it and I think it must of been clogged with dirt or something as I just couldn't get it off without breaking it. Other than that...piece of cake, (if you're mechanically savvy)!
Enjoyed the next sunny 73 degree day in Vermont with the top down! All can say is I REALLY CAN'T WAIT for my new tires to be here, so she doesn't feel so much like Fred Flintstone’s car...LOL!
Sorry I didn't do a full write-up, with pictures, but it's been done before and done well! I just wanted to write about the plastic clip as that was my only surprise and figured if someone else was going to do this you may want to order this clip and just break the one on the car, so you don't waste any time...LOL!
Come on new tires...
