Default Revived from storage...kind of....

Put the battery in and it didn't have enough juice to crank the engine, but then again the date on the battery is 8/05. Time for a new battery! After I got the car started...I let her run for a good 30 minutes plus and went through all the electronics and working motorized parts. All is good! However after I shut the car off and went to lock it with the key fob the battery in that is dead too. Hopefully they are easy to get? I will do a search and find out. My question is will it require the remote to be programmed as it is my master?

Still looking forward to this Saturday's timing belt change!

I recently replaced my key fob battery, bought it from PepBoys for a few $. No programming necessary.

$3.97 at Home Depot. No problem at all with programming. Plug and Play

Go to www.parkplacetexas.com and look under lexus parts and you'll find the OEM SC430 battery on sale right now for $107. Print that out and take to your local dealer and see if they will match and get you a new battery!

****You know the crazy thing about replacing your battery (big battery) on the SC? I kept ALL of my homelink, memory seat, LPS settings! Amazing! I thought for SURE I would loose all that when I took my factory battery out like an ECU reset. I guess I didn't have it out long enough???****

Rats, update:

I guess Park Place realized they sold me that battery last week too cheap! LOL List is $162, they sold it to me for $107, but for some reason I cannot find it again for $107, it's now $129!!

Either way, GREAT price for a OEM Interstate Lexus Battery with 84 month replacement warranty!!!

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...ke=20&model=SC 430&year=2006&graphicID=8935110&callout=1&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0

Free shipping to Vermont over $100 too!!!

Although...I guess before I order I should check with Sears as the battery in the car now is Diehard with a date of 8/05 and came with a 100 month replacement warranty.

Never had to pay for a key fob battery at the parts counter of the dealership. I have done it a few times for my Rx and Sc. Check it out.

@ NWcoast...for now I've moved the battery from my other master key. My nearest dealership is 2.5 hours away. I'll pribably just hit Radio Shack!

@ scdroptop...parkplacetexus won't sell me the battery for $129 as they said it's marked wrong and it is indeed $162. That sucks!
