Hi gang,

Just recently bought a 03 SC430 for the wife and she loves it. However, it didn't come with any center caps as the dealer said they would send us new ones when they got them in.

It looks to have the stock brushed silver wheels, but the dealer sent us the chromed pie plate caps...

My question is: Is this what's supposed to go on the car? I know there is a chromed rim option, but is there a brushed silver center pie plate?

If not, the two different colors looks REALLY stupid

Ah, I see the dilemma now. Yea, the pie plate should be brushed silver (or you can use twist caps instead of the pie plates). Also, it should have the Lexus logo in the middle. Here's what you need, as far as pie plates go: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-Le...s#ht_602wt_859

Ok thanks, just wanted to make sure before I called up the dealer and *****ed at them (Again!). I thought Lexus dealers were supposed to awesome at making customers happy, but we've had nothing but bull**** and lies from this one.

Hi Curr and welcome. You can have stock chrome pie plates, if you had chrome wheels. What you have is a aftermarket cap, hence no emblem. Tell the dealer that you want "original" equipment, and not some cheap aftermarket stuff. That should get a raise out of them.
We (I) didn't like (no hated) the pie plates. I didn't want to spend too much cause I wanted G-Spyder wheels, (that's another story) so this is what I did to get rid of the pie plates:

Forgot to add, she now likes them better that the G-Spyders. The SCs were painted black as to off set the emblems, (to match the other emblems and license plate frame)could also paint the background to make the standout. The SCs I used were from fleabay along with the twisties (plastic), don't remember from who I got them. But one of our sponsors Sewell's had them for sale for $2.75 apiece. Not a bad price IMHO.

The SC's got a booty like Beyonce so she needs some nice heels!

On a serious note, I'd recommend you tell the dealer to get the chrome twisties or polished silver twisties instead.

Agreed, twist are the way to go if u can, either chrome or silver, steady's look really nice... Pie plates are bad enough, and the fact that the ones they gave you dont even have the lexus logo...fail...

Side note: Steady, i laugh every time I see that one picture, I'll PM you haha

Almost bought the SC center caps, were on clearnce. Just do not know how to replace my L caps.

The pie plates in the above photo aren't the ones they sent, just a representative pic that was requested in post #2.

Wife called Lexus and talked to the parts manager and she said yes they should have sent brushed finished ones and they will get it straightened out.
