Need suggestions on 90k service
I have a guy that is going to change out my timing belt, waterpump and thermostat.
I was thinking while in was in there to go ahead and have him change out the fan bracket with pulley, drive belt tensioner, idler, timing belt tensioner, pulley, and idler.
Parts will be only $562 OEM and $150 labor.. and he is also throwing in the differential flush.
Should I go ahead and do all that or is it not needed?

if you check on the labor rate for a timing belt its cheap, to do the other things would take another 1/2 hour more. the person who did mine not a friend charged me 180.00 labor an i gave him the parts. i was surprised how quick it took him when you what your doing. he has to take the water pump any way and the other thing are easy thing to start with. he sure didn't kill himself. the shop gets 75.00 hr.

I am having the timing belt, water pump, cam seals, drive belts done for my 2004 Sienna van this weekend at a local Toyota dealer for $830 plus tax.
Local independent shops quoted me $750. Guess it is more expensive here in the SF bay area.

I might need to be introduced also.

Everything was changed out as of Friday night. Tomorrow morning he is going to inspect the airbag system on the driver side to see why we keep getting an intermittent airbag light.
Will also be doing a differential flush and power steering flush! He said the car is purring like a kitten

Hey VIPNiss,
Can you please PM me the contact info for your guy who changed your timing belt. I'm needing to change out my timing belt as well. Where in Texas is he located? I'm in Houston...
Thanks!
