Wow, i didnt know that speaker was repairable.. I guess I'm gonna have to double check it sometime. At certain high notes the speaker sounds blown. Wonder if i can just repair it or its really blown blown and not just deteriorated.

Happy to report that the speaker is holding up and now fixed. None of the high pitch distortion. And I really turned it up this morning.

Again thanks to darnot10 who coached me into this repair. One day I will check the driver's side.

You are so welcome. Glad to be helpful! When I talked to Davenport Motors they wanted $250 to repair. It really is an easy DIY (even if you break the clips...just do like you and have some spares on standby). Great write up BTW and NICE garage!!!! Talk at you.

Ace Hardware has the replacement clips. Buy a few, different sizes, styles. You will be happy to have them when the opportunity comes. Just like it did for me whenh I did this speaker repair.

Thanks darnot10. You have not seen the whole set up yet, I will shoot you pics. I have to re-paint my floor though.

Sweet! I repainted my floor after I did my neighbor's (hers turned out better than mine and I liked the glossy look better...I purchased my epoxy paint at Home Depot and she purchased hers at Lowe's). So after I did her three car garage I purchased four gallons at Lowe's and did my two car but haven't done the one car yet. Probably won't until June sometime. One thing I noticed back in the day was you weren't able to purchase more of the anti-skid flakes as you are today. That helps a bunch as I bought another two cans and sprinkled them bad boys on and it looks so much better. Anyway, can't wait for the pics.
