I bought my 2002 SC with 35k miles for $18,500 off of craigslist and I am very happy with the purchase. Aside from the guy being a bit reluctant to sell b/c his wife said they had too many cars and he was really attached to it, it went smoothly. He looked so sad when I exchanged the check for the keys. My car checked out clean in all departments and came with a 3rd party warranty that I have for another 20k miles . There are a lot of scammers since CL is free and very open but if you are wary, there are good deals to be had. Still not 100% on this one, though he seems to be a real person with a real phone #. Now we need to know if the car is real too .

You were one of the lucky ones. And to have purchased the SC of CL is almost a lucky draw.

so strange that neiman marcus has their own version of a car out there......kinda like the old VW cabrio from D&G. fashion and cars seems fitting tho. its how i got my wife to understand my wheel problem. she likes to buy purses/bags and have different ones for different things...i like owning different wheels and running them all. my wife calls it "accessorizing".

Don't forget the Hello Kitty special edition (Japan Only). Lexus really has the 13 year old girl, and 50 year old gay man segment owned. Why compete with AMG/F/M/SS/RT/GTR, when you can badge department stores, a golf course, or Anime? I still (in the minority) think the PB,NM etc are the equivalent of a cross dresser in the automotive world. Ford gets a Harley license, Other brands borrow the names of race tracks. I can just imagine the meetings, deciding to build a factory Toms with 500 hp or a my little pony edition that shoots sparkle up your arshe whenever you pass a mall. WWLD. What would Lexus do?

Funny Kaiser...didn't you want to get the PB headlights on your car so you painted them? And how do you know so much about crossdressing and my little pony???? lol

Oh, back to the NM in question here. IMO the NM is the most desirable special edition SC because of the exclusivity, the story, etc. Only 100 made, etc etc.

This one appears to be fairly clean, but just some observations...floor mats filthy, antenna stuck up? missing OEM chrome NM wheels...unless those are so filthy they don't shine??? 89k miles on a 2002--was the tb/wp done? how about 60k service? Theres some marks on the NM badge inside...leather needs redone, etc etc.

Overall probably a 7 for condition out of 10...nothing spectacular except for it's rarity.

I would pay up to about $25k for a very clean NM with much lower miles, but perhaps this NM is a little pricey. Vietprince's is the epidome of all NM's and the poster child. He could fetch north of $25k I bet but he has a lot invested. I'd pay no more than $18k for this one...perhaps offer them $17 to start.

Who's going to buy this????

****Just checked service history: GREAT history until 2007. Nothing after. No service at all. It stopped at 55k miles. Great news is that first owner pampered it, even getting detailed at dealership replacing bulbs, batteries, tires (my kinda previous owner!!!) and LOADS of history from 2001-2007. Problem is...what the hell was done to the car for the past four years??????

I'd stay away unless there's a story...mechanic bought it and did all maint himself, etc etc. Very suspect.

I'd rather buy this for $15k even with a salvage title look at the upgrades they did when they repaired...2006+ front bumper set up...very clean, 2005 updates, etc etc. I'd go for this over the NM for the under $20k price range. You could get this and then add wheels, iPod, coilovers and a few minor mods for the same price!!!

I did...was editing my post as you were probably typing. No service since 2007. 2001-2007 impeccable service. Some definite question marks on 2007-2011
