I guess with stock 18" tires it isn't as noticeable. I measured 3-1/4" gap from the top of tire to fender liner before changing the coil-overs. It now measures 2", so it did drop 1-1/4". Since I see the car everyday, I can see it, but I guess others may not notice it
It used to look like the gap was equal all around the tire. Here is the before.

Very nice Poq!!! Definitely sportier, sleeker. Can't wait to hear your driving impressions. Let us know what # settings your dampening is. You could easily go lower by about 13-15 turns which would probably be about 1/2" based on what LS and I did the other day.

I can testify now that this upgrade was definitely needed. My SC has 95k miles and the ride had gotten sloppy. There were times on interstate that the ripples in the road at high speed would make the car feel unstable. I ran interstate today and went to the road area that excited the car the worst in the past. With the new coil-overs, it ran over the ripples with barely a notice. Going around high speed turns, I would even call it nimble. I had always wondered given the handling characteristics of my SC (acquired with 84k miles) why so many on this forum loved their SC's so much. Well now I know. It drives great! A feeling I had not experienced before now. So if you have a '02 SC with 80+ miles, you should consider replacing your coil-overs.

Interesting enough, before upgrading, I even had Lexus test drive the car and make recommendations to address the poor handling. They said nothing was wrong and the OEM coil-overs were okay and not leaking. It shows that everything may look okay, but it's really worn out.

FYI, I set the rear EZ's at a setting of 7 out of 15 and a front setting of 9. I'm happy with the ride. Has anyone ever cut holes in their trunk liner for easily adjusting the rear dampening? Where did you find decorative snap in covers for the holes?

Thanks again to LSin75075 for helping me get parts and offering to answer questions. I had never done this mod before and it helped with my confidence.

I cut holes, and have been looking for little velcro patches to cover them, but so far I havn't found any I liked on ebay. They're mostly all military related.

Z3NK1 and mIStaboi....Did you cut about a 1" diameter hole? What is adequate for reaching down with needle nose pliers to dial the adjustment? I'm finding some plastic caps that may work, but I need to select a hole size before ordering.

I made rectangles, and they're different on each side lol. Depends where you make the first incision.

My left hole is about 1.5" x 2", the right one is 1" x 1.5". mIStaboi is right, noone's ever gonna look in the trunk, but I want to get patches just because it'll look better to me.

talwang, you ALWAYS have a picture for everything!

EDIT: So I was sitting here at work thinking about this, and I looked over my desk and saw the grommet which feeds wires through the table......

Anyways I went down to the parkade and tested it to see if they'd work, and they should do nicely

Perhaps I'll have pictures of the install tonight haha.

Thanks talwang! That looks perfect! and very professionally done. I think I'll try to duplicate the look of the circular plug.
