Check the tread.. Inside wear?

That may be the cause.

I put 2 new tires on my pickup saturday and moved the rears to the front – vibration completely gone (and it was really bad)...

But the question is, how old are the tires? If the car is 8 years old with only 11k miles, the tires could be original... that would be dangerous. And the tires could have sat on a shelf somewhere before they were installed, so they could be older yet. Tires have a life span before they dry rot and cause all sort of problems... If they were made in at least the last 5-6 years they will have a date code on them.... If they are more than 4-5 years old, I would replace them.

My BMW tire blew out because of age at 6 years old... Luckily I wasn't in heavy traffic and was only going about 45 when I first felt it and was able to slow down quite a bit before it blew. They all had good tread left, and they all were visibly dry rotted.

Bent rims are also a real possibility to check... one bad RR track or curb is all it takes...

Ok, now I see your post where you say they are almost new... well 2k miles, so they are prob recently purchased..

Yep got them at the end of last year so they are pretty new and purchased from tire rack and they are hankook ventus v12s...they cant keep these stocked so I doubt they sat anywhere very long. Ive visually inspected my tires and they look brand new, wheel tech said the same thing. Fronts balanced with easy tech confirmed neither rim is bent and i took the only one that could have been out of the equation.

I cant really remember if that vibration was there before i put on new tires. If i did what else could be causing the vibration? I am going to remove the front spacers tomorrow and hope that helps out, the spacers definately added to the problem I think. That could just be in my head though.

Im definately not going to buy new tires since I usually drive city 6-8 miles a day at 50mph on the high end usually 30mph. So in those situations the car drives fine its when I take it on the highway that this is an issue. And just to correct that Im not ready to drop 500-600 for another set of tires :/ Has anyone replaced bushings or anything else that removed vibrations?

Unlikely but still possible. Check your wheel bearing and wheel carrier.
What have you done to the car as far as upgrade/modify/improvement, any suspension work or wheels or even BBK?

This link is what finally solved my problem.

The shop said that they don't even look at these bolts when doing an alignment. I spend a lot of time and money on this one.

Default Nice find

Great solved problem with tightening bolts. I'll have mechanic check next service. I likewise had serious shaking between 65-70. Did not dare continue - had to keep around 60. Largely resolved with road force balance. Cost $80 to do all 4 wheels/tires. Much improved. Looking forward to eventually replacing run flat tires to further smooth ride.

HerveG,

I have 2 SC 430s here in Florida. I took the Run Flats off one and installed Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. They make the car drive like a Lexus should.

The 2nd car came with non run flats, Continental DWS tires. They ride much better than the run flats but they seem to get a flat spotted when parked overnight. When I pull onto I-75 I get some noticeable steering wheel and seat vibration for about 3-4 miles then it goes completely away. The DWS tires are also a little noisier than the Pilot Super Sports

The other recommended tire seems to be Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus.

If I lived where there was snow I would consider an A/S (all season) tire.
