Is the ECRU hard to keep clean? Which leather would you say wears the best (looks new the longest) if they were all maintained the same?
I really like the black / ECRU, but wondering if it's more maintenance to keep clean esp when the top is done. Lots of dust settling on the it and UV rays beating down on the leather.
Thoughts?

Ecru is one shade away from being off-white or eggshell. To me it's the prettiest interior (especially with the blond birdseye interior on a sharp dark color) but also very hard to keep clean. My wife wore a brand new black leather jacket one time in it and it bled on to the leather. The premium leather that Lexus uses in the SC is very porous, full grain leather. Black can fade if left in the sun a lot. Keep it moist! If you really want a black SC, why not check out a black on camel if you like lighter interiors or saddle? Red too
Just my opinion from someone who has owned two different SC430's and 11 total Lexus vehicles in all...
1) Black...especially Lexus SC black. Not so much GM/Chevy black lol
2) Red
3) Saddle
4) Camel-just dark enough to hide all the imperfections
5) Ecru
Just my two cents. Just the fact that black hides all the little sweat marks, oil, etc. to me is worth it. We had several silver on black ES/RX for my wife and they looked 200% better over time than the darker exterior with the tan. Other lexus vehicle tan colors wear a little better. The really light gray on the ES/LS/GS/IS shows everything IMO.

Thanks for your input.
I never really liked saddle interior, but for some reason it looks good on the SC.
I do like the blond birdeye wood better than the darker wood.
Is White/black and white/saddle pretty rare?

I hadn't before, but since you raised the question, I did check this morning in the parking lot, and I believe the Obsidian black of my SC is "blacker" than the car I'm parked I'm parked next to - or maybe it is just the finish that makes it appear as black glass!
