Did all SC 430's come with run-flat tires?
I noticed that new SC 430's come standard with temporary spare and conventional tires.
What year did this start?
And where do they put the spare?
Do older models have a space for a spare too?
Thanks.

if you follow the link in my signature line to my photoshop site there are photos of my trunk with the LEXUS spare and cover assembly so you can see how it all fits. Once the top is down there very little, if any really usable space left over.

OMGosh - When I read there is a well for the spare in the trunk - I assumed it was like in my GS or LS, under the floor of the trunk.
Heck, it's nothing more than a slot near the back!
Dang - with that puppy in there, I might be able to toss in a toiletry bag for a 'dirty weekend' as the Brits say.
Then again, that's about all you need right?

I replaced the RF tires with regular tires, stowed a portable 12V compressor in the trunk and rely on my TPMS to alert me of low air pressure before a tire goes flat. This leaves me with room to throw in two duffel bags with the top down on weekend trips.

I ditched the runflats, got a spare tire kit, AND carry around the Conti Comfort Kit (12V compressor with built-in fix-a-flat sealant).
I've used the spare, a couple of times...and I've used the compressor (without activating the sealant) countless times.
Keep in mind, once the top goes down, you have TONS of usable space on the leather-clad parcel shelf behind the front seats (some people laughingly refer to this using the slang term "Back Seat".)
I can put two full-size suitcases (sitting upright behind each seat) in the backseat, with room between them for a BIG camera case. Enough stuff for me and the wife, for a week.
I don't understand the "there's no storage room in this car" attitude. You just have to do a little thinking outside the box.

The SC430 got A LOT more room then the NSX, but the NSX is indeed sexier, but then the SC430 got a V8 and the whole top goes down. I love both, my final choice is the SC430!
