Think about getting a resonator delete. I'm looking into this too because I want my exhaust a bit louder without having to change out the exhaust

I would suggest against that, I tried taking off the resonator and the car sounded like poo, What i ended up doing was just removing the muffler and have pipes and a tip welded in place, that way u can switch back to stock utilizing the existing bolt on connection at that joint.

Injen intake will give you a little more "moan" over 3k rpm, kind of like a 4 barrel opening up, with stock exhaust.

I am thinking about removing the resonator too, so it sounds bad with just the stock muffler with no resonator? But it sounds ok with resonator and no muffler? Does it make it really loud though? I just want it a hair more throaty, I don't want it really loud.

I tried with the mufflers and resonators off and it was terrible, I would not recommend it. I Just deleted my mufflers

if you are looking for a g35/37 sound then just get free flowing mufflers and call it a day.

with the set up that I am running (2.25 in piping straight from the resonators back) I am louder than a mustang GT and it does attract some attention, but it has never been from cops (knock on wood). but I have gotten a lot of looks like "is that sound really coming from a lexus?" Almost everyone who has heard it, including my father that usually hates exhausts says they like it and it sounds like a V8 should.

Thanks a lot for your input

Have you tried removing just the stock resonators and running just with the stock mufflers? If you have, how is that sounds?

I am guessing deleting the mufflers would be too loud for me, and I don't want any aftermarket exhaust.

I had my loud exhaust days with all of my previous sports car, I am too old for that now

Tommy,

So you put a free flow muffler in the place of stock or just straight pipe? Thank you for the input about the resonator, that was what I was going to try first. Where did you have it done? What brand free flow muffler? Is it stainless steel? Can it be seen from the rear?

I have the BLitz catback with the blitz resonators taking off and a straight pipe installed with headers and it still needs to be louder lol. My favorite exhaust sound is Aquanuke. I need some sard highflow cats

Lexiss_sc430/Tommy,

Have you tried running with the stock mufflers only without the stock resonators?

Thanks.

That's what I thought. It gets a little more throaty but still not too loud right? It still sounds ultra smooth?

I'm really interested in the muffler delete. Anyone with a sound clip or video of sc430 with muffler delete. Seen Lexisssc's videos on youtube, still not too clear. How does it sound just revving and taking off? Thx.
