Springtime Shine! Meguires Clay Bar on Ebony
#17
droptop,
I finaly put the pimento matts in. At first I thought they were faded, but they realy look good. Your car looks great, but you need to do the calipers. I will eventualy send you photos if I ever get a sunny day when the car is clean. Caliper paint and decals realy look good. Also did the calipers on my wife's S line Q7. White also. Looks great. Regards Surt

I know, I know guys! I have a laundry list of stuff you all have talked me into doing!!!
Here is what is on tap next for Ebony:
Injen intake and heat shield-on order
Drop-tanabe springs only .9" drop...realignment, fuel injector cleaning and new plugs, LED fogs and 168 bulbs LED conversion while it is in for all this work.
Blitz throttle controller
Lux llink w/ rear window option
Red Calipers-just covers or paint
Red Lexus emblems for my center caps (thanks to mrblister!)
Hopefully can get all this done by the end of the year. You guys are breaking me!!!
Thanks to all for the kind words...just wanted to post some results for the clay bar.

Congrats on a really beautiful car . . . but the order you're describing makes it sound as if you did the clay bar as the final step. If you did, you rubbed off whatever wax you have on the car. You need to perform any polishing or waxing after you clay the car . . the clay removes any embedded particles, etc., but in that process also removes any remaining wax. It prepares the paint for the wax. Apologize if I misunderstood you, but just in case, it's important people realize that the clay is prepping the car for the protective wax. If you clay last and then just spritz on detailer, your paint is beautiful but completely unprotected.
