Question exhaust systems for the sc430

whats up fellas

just wondering if there was any way i could put a set of catback on the sc430 and where i could find an exhaust system. i want a catback but idk if i should buy the universal catback exhaust systems and then just weld it on with some piping, because im not trying to spend a thousand dollars on a blitz exhaust system

please let me know what your ideas are and i will send yall pictures of my car as soon as i get the exhaust done

thanks!

Blitz is your only bolt-on option. You can buy your own muffler and tips and have a shop weld you a custom exhaust. It will be tough to find a place that has a machine that does mandrel bends, but It would probably still be cheaper than purchasing a blitz exhaust.

I just took off the rear exhaust section and had a shop bend some pipe and weld on new tips. The car is pretty loud but it doesn't bother me.

I'm not familiar with the jargon when it comes to exhausts, but is this what they call the 'resonator delete'? I wanted a louder 'growl' from the exhaust, but didn't want to go over the top (with sound or money). Do you have a sound clip?

If you look underneath the rear section of the car, behind your rear axle, you will see a huge metal muffler. What we have done is remove that muffler that has the stock exhaust tips attached to it and weld in some piping and new tips.

You guys cut out the muffler, not the resonator? That doesn't cause inspection issues, or trip a CEL?

There are no sensors after your down stream O2's so your car cant tell the if you cut off all the piping after that sensor. in other words no there are no lights.

As far as visual inspections, I have had the car smogged with out a problem and I have not had a problem with johnny law.

Default Borla Exhaust

Went down earlier this month to have "Exhaust Systems Hawaii" install a custom exhaust system to make my SC slightly louder. I decided to go with borla instead of just a muffler delete because others in my family often have to drive it too. We kept the 2 resonators. My family is extremely satisfied with the work, and it still lets people know that a V8 sits under the hood! I always have the option of removing the resonators, but for now, this will do!
