New wheels for 2006 SC430??
I just purchased a white 2006 SC430. My stock wheels are pretty beat up and I don't like the looks of them even if they were repaired. I'm thinking about getting the non-chrome 18" G-Spider or the non-chrome 18" TSW Cadwell (http://tsw.com). The price is the same for both. I know its lame not to get 19" or 20" rims, but I don't want to get new tires and I don't want the unexpected problems that come with bigger rims. Any thoughts? I'm assuming the G-Spider would be better for re-sale purposes?

I realize this thread is over a month old but here's another alternative to stock wheels. I put Tourmaline (Pebble Beach Model) on mine, I just have a preference to 10 spoke wheels I guess. I paid $900 for the set new from a dealer. If you're interested PM me and I'll give you the info.

I too went for the G-Spiders from Sewell's. Still haven't put them on. (still in the boxes in the basement) Am thinking of just staying with the stock wheels with the chome spokes. The wife likes them better than the G-Spiders and it's her car NOW! Wish she had said something before I bought the spiders. At least it now looks better than with the pie tins, that it came with. Always disliked them. Her's is white /saddle. Good luck on your search for wheels. If you haven't already, get rid of the RF's, I can't wait till her's wearout so we can get a smoother ride. So they tell me.

That's what I did to my car. I bought the car with brand new tires, and I wanted to keep the same tires and same sized wheels. I found aftermarket wheels that were the same size as stock, and just switched it. Extremely comfortable ride, better tire life, and (of course) cheaper to maintain.
Added a little drop, and it's all good.
If you want to take the least monetary hit, it's best to get whatever wheel you want, but keep your stock wheels. When you're ready to sell, replace the stock wheels, then sell your aftermarket wheels separately.
