this past wkend outside San Antonio I ran into a thunder storm which quickly became a hail storm in a matter of seconds. Sucks ***! I know. Lucky for me, i only walked out with two pea size dents on the hood and two< pea size hits on top of my SC. thought it would be a cheap fix and wound't need to call insurance but have u know, i ended up with a $1350 est from this auto body and paint shop. claim they got to put "clear coat" and some other BS. but i was thinking myself since they are such small dings maybe i could go get one of those Paintless Dent Removal guys to do the work instead because i dont feel like having to pay the $500 deductable. only problem now is there's no PDR guys in my town and i was praying that one of you guys out there in the great state of TX might know of a SUPER GREAT PDR guy in the south tx area that you personaly have work with and had a great experince with. another thing, anyone know if these PRD guys can do "clear coat" just aswell as those paint shops or if they even put on a clear coat. thank in adavnce peeps!!

mOST OF THE GREAT DENT DOCTORS TRAVEL AROUND THE COUNTRY AND FIX CARS THAT HAVE BEEN DAMAGED AT DEALERSHIPS. FOR ONLY 4 PEA SIZE DENTS YOU SHOULD BE LOOKING AT $400 MAX AND NO CLEAR COAT NEEDED. A GREAT TECH WILL GET THE JOB DONE IN LESS THAN TWO HOURS AND YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THERE WAS ANY DAMAGE. GOOD LUCK !!

I had a couple of mine done at the dealer for $120. (That is Park Place Lexus in Dallas/Plano.) That seemed fairly reasonable to me. No clear coat was required. One of those dents was more like quarter size than pea sized also.

I had 8 dents/dings taken out at Park Place Lexus in Plano for $250.00. Paintless dent repair businesses are all over the place.

Yes

hail damage isn't always obvious in all light. look at in in different lighting conditions and from different angles. it's usually most obvious at night under a halogen street light. get down just above the surface and look across it. it may be a lot worse than you think.

That's an excellent point, I've watched those dent doctors work and they always used flouresent light bulbs set up around the car. You really do have to look across the entire surface to ensure all dents are accounted for !!

Hi I'm in the Austin, TX area and there is a guy in Killeen, TX named Keith he is the owner of Keith's Dent Repair he does the paintless dent repair. He got rid of a nasty door ding on my sc for $150 did super great work.

You can try Pops a dent.. It took my dents out.

i second that, just be careful not to overdo it. Found one in autozone. would let you use it but there are about 10 people using it right now for the same reason. Used it on my Rex.

There is a place in Houston called Pop-a-ding that did a great job removing some door dings from my SC430. I recently had them buff out the yellow from my headlights and those look brand new too! I would definitely recommend them. They are located on Stuebner-Airline up near Spring. I think I paid like $150 to have them fix my door dings.
