Default wallet key how to re-program the transpoder portion of it

I have a 2005 sc430 when I installed the luxlink remote top and start I used the flat wallet key to put inside the imobilizer box. I had to cut the flat wallet plastic key holder in half and inserted the part with the transponder chip inside the imobilizer. I still have the key which of course fits the ign etc. But since I no longer have the flat wallet key transonder chip that is neccessary to be able to start the car. I saw on ebay a vendor is selling a wallet transponder and key. Of course the key portion is of no value to me and I still have my flat key .

My question is if I buy the wallet transponder How can I reprogram the wallet chip to be able to work with my car. I just want to be able to put my original flat key that works back into an intact wallet key holder with a transponder chip programed for my car.

If you look down the page a few posts there is a post with the answer to your question on how to program a key.

I don't know what is being offered on eBay, but I think what CBG is saying is that the programming would be the same as if you purchased a regular key and needed to program it as a master. Those instructions are here.

Default program wallet case transponder

When you are programing the key and the transponder that is in the wallet case when they ask you to insert the key you want to copy is this when I put the wallet key transonder case close to the ignition switch when I actually insert the key i still have from my original wallet case that works in the cylinder lock. I believe your only allowed 4 programed keys total. If you go over that limit it will erase one of the priviously programed keys. Since all I am trying to program is just the wallet key transponder would that count as one of the allowed [ 4 ] programable codes. I am not trying to program any functions like open door trunk alarm etc . I just want to get the wallet key to work so it will tell the car it can start in case of an emergency and i have to use the wallet key and the new case I am trying to buy on ebay. I have as of now two master keys programed one valet key programed and the original wallet key transponder case inside the hidden imobilizer box for the lux link. [ That is a total of two functioning keys with remote functions 1 vallet key and one wallet case ] That = 4 programed codes . If I tyr to program the new wallet case will that work or will it just erase one of my privious keys
