Interior light
The driver's side interior light above the rear view mirror on my 2002 is out. Before I run to my not too close Lexus dealer, I assume I could easily replace it myself. But it is not obvious how to remove the plastic cover.... Help!
Thanks,
Bill

Lead Lap
I believe that there is a little hole on the edge of the plastic square piece. You insert something like the end of a paper clip in there and pop it out. (I think.) I haven't done it myself, but that is what it looks like. Shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to do the entire replacement.

I used two small flathead screwdrivers one the outside edge to pry the cover out. There is a small slot on either side but I couldn't get enough leverage with one screwdeiver. Some pressure is required and it pops out. The problem was, when I got into the housing, the bulb was not the one listed by Sylvania. Mine is a filiment bulb with one end connecting and the listed bulb is a festoon with two ends contacting. Still scratching my head on that one. Guess I will have to call Lexus, which I hate to do. I can see $40 for 5 minutes of work. Anyone know what bulb fits this somewhat critical light? I currently use a flashlight -- Yikes.

Replacing bulb
I took the cover off with an Exacto blade that was flat. Took the bulb to the auto parts dealer and got one just like it. Get the halogen bulb. The regular is not as bright.
