Hi,

Can you open trunk when top is down? Someone told me that opening the trunk when the top is down messes up the convertible top and so I've never opened it before.

Have any of you guys opened it before with the top down?

While the top is going down is a problem
After it is down is fine.

I have used the trunk a few times when the top was in there. Not that there is alot of room in there to use but uh well LOL, there is enough room for a few bags of groceries.
Who ever told you that was mistaken.

As everyone here stated 'yes, you can open the trunk when the top is down'. For me it's kinda pointless to do it because there is hardly any room left with the spare tire kit. Thinking of getting rid of it just to lighten up the car and get some additional space

As the others have said, not a problem to do so. My dad had an 02 and we opened the trunk with the top down probably a couple of times a week for several years.
