last month the drivers door speaker went out in a crackle and pop.

This month, the passengers side door speaker and the giant sub woofer behind the seat went pop.

Lexus under the extended warranty paid for it all..............total for all three speakers was over a grand with labor.......I told the service manager I did not mind paying the 100 bucks deductible once but 2 more times was not going to happen.

I had mentioned to the service writer that all the main speakers sounded buzzy.......he did not hear what I heard and only did one.........when the other side went out the claim was posted and then the tech discovered after the fact the big bass speaker was bad so now a third claim......I had them put all of them together in one lump and settled the question real quick.

For those who have an older SC 430 and see the warranty as needless I can tell you just since June when it was extended another 6 years and 72,000 miles I have half my monies already back in parts and labor.

how much did they charge to extend the warranty? And how much did it get extended by?

You can get $129 image dynamics subwoofer that'll pop right in there. It'll sound a whole bunch better - deeper bass, more acurate and it'll last at least 3 times as long as the one that you just replaced. Then each of the other speakers will cost about $50 each and also be much better overall. Some folks here have already done it. If you can't install it yourself, the sub and two speakers will cost about $100 tops for labor with a life time warrenty on labor.
