Default Would you put these wheels on your SC?

Just curious,

I've been thinking about putting aftermarket rims on my SC430. Given the fact that my SC is a daily driver, I really don't want to buy anything too expensive or anything that's bigger than 18'.

Are these rims any good? I figure that for a few hundred dollars, heck I don't think I can go wrong. Any thoughts? Will they work okay with my TPM sensors and 245 tires?

I wonder if the white version will look okay on my white SC.

Plus, I am local so no shipping fee is involved.

I’ve read and understand the following quote Jon but go big or go home!! I'm messing with you but you should really consider buying 20's. In my opinion the ride with 20"s now is much better than the 18" runflats. The SC just looks perfect with the 20’s, you don’t need to drop it, I have never scraped or rubbed and I’ve had these wheels on for a while.

Just consider it... come on you know you wanna.

Damn!

I knew this would happen! In less than a few minutes I am being lured into the dark side. LOL...

Thank you though Lexiss_sc430. Your advice is well taken but in all seriousness, investing in a nice set of 20s means that I am going to have to constantly cry about the wears and tears to my rims. Not to mention that the cost to replace the tires would just kill me.

I put about 25k-30k miles on my car on a yearly basis so in order to keep my body organs intact and not having to sell them to buy myself some tires, I think I am a little better off with 18s.

I do have to admit though, I have 20's on my Mercedes and they just straight up scream PIMP!

That being said, would you have put these rims on a SC430?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I'll keep my eyes open.

It's hard to come across nice looking 18' rims for $350 though.

on the white ones...I think white rims on a white car looks...odd. But that's just me...I have blue rims on a blue car (but just the lips, though)

The other ones, I would consider, but only if they are lightweight rims.

Honestly, I did not like any of those wheels, if you want to get a bargain look on craigslist, you can find wheels for dirt cheap there

i didn't think i needed to drop it until i actually dropped mine. then i realized how much better it looks dropped. i was a little embarrassed i drove around on 20s for 2 months with no drop. i've been getting a lot more compliments from random people after dropping it.

I dont think any of those above wheels would look good on an SC.

There is a set of 19" Maya/trafficstar RTS in the classifieds at the moment although not cheap but a bargain for sure.

Those would make your call look a million $$$'s for sure.

I think the white ones would look good on a white car. Can you guys give reasons that you wouldn't like the white wheels assuming you are going to put 18's on your car not 19 or 20's.

Does dropping the car wear out the tires quicker? How much does it cost to drop the car?

I'm buying a white sc430 tomorrow and will put wheels and tires on right away.

It's a really tough decision. There are so many cool wheels out there.

If you're looking, I have 20" Maya/Trafficstars in the classified for less than the 19's. Also, I'm in Cali.

I think you can find better 19's for the SC. Not necessarily more pricey, but better.

There are brands like Vossen where you can get a 20x9 and 20x11 for your car on blowout for 1100bucks for instance.

20's is not a problem for the SC. 19's are doable but its tougher to find 19's with the nice proper fitment and a low price since most 19's tend to be more on the conservative side (fitment wise)

Those are more "racer" type wheels. The SC is more of a relax cruiser type car. I would take a second look if I seen those rims on a SC and be like
