To my knowledge, no new SC430 in the US came with a spare tire unless ordered special, just run flats. There is a spare tire kit available through Lexus and on rare occasions a used one on ebay. All SC430s to my knowledge are compatible with the kit.

Begin by googling each part number, find the best price and order.
I located a Lexus dealer on eBay and I paid about $680 shipped for the complete kit.

I think this one must be better than RX8 because at less it made from Lexus , same size and offset , you can find it in Lexus dismantle shop. it was equiped for every IS300, IS350 ( $80-$120 each for used one)
Is the IS350 space saver alloy?

Hi & thank you for sharing your story. Does the factory spare wheel cover fit over the RX8 spare wheel and does the factory bolt and plate fit to secure the RX8 spare wheel?

The RX8 spare is smaller than the SC430 spare, so yes, it will fit with no issues.

Thank you. Someone on this thread wrote about a rear window mod. What is that?

Default SC 430 Spare Substitute

First of all, thanks for all the information in this website. As a new Lexus owner, I have already benefited from the info in here. Specifically, I just found a new (unused) compact spare on EBAY that DOES fit the 2002 SC430. It was from a 2007 Camry and I got it for $64 with free shipping. That certainly beats the $1019 estimate I got from the Lexus dealer. Yeah, it might not be as pretty but who cares? It is in the trunk! I have already tried it on the car (when I rotated the tires) and it fits the vehicle. It also fits in the space in the trunk so I am very happy. Without run flat tires, I didn't feel right taking road trips without anything as backup. Looking forward to taking advantage of this website to learn and share stuff about our Lexus.

A Camry spare has the same lug nut pattern, but it is a little fatter and a little taller than a SC430 spare.

I do not know if the 1/2 inch will make a difference or not. After all, you are using it with 18 inch tires and taller would seem like a better option. I do know having some kind of spare on a trip is far better than having no spare on a trip.

Here is a chart of the difference.

.....I have the same as you Joe, although I got mine a little cheaper ($25...wrecking yard)....I wasn't worried about the look or exact size , as the factory spare kit. I wanted something that fit the car & could be used in case of an emergency, so that I wouldn't be stuck on the side of the road

Default spare tire for 2003 sc430

I have a 2003 and 2004 sc430. I also had a 2004 toyota solara. I had my mechanic check to see if the spare tire fit the sc430. He found that the donut matched the size wheel depth and lug nut arrangement with my sc430. I purchased a used spare tire and wheel combination for $80 at my local junk yard.

That's not surprising. A Solara, IIRC, is just a Camry with a drop top. Camry spares fit the SC430.

Those are good deals. I paid $150 shipped from ebay. It was like new. The salvage yards around me did not have anything that fit.
