Do not understand why you would go to the hassle to find a supra wheel and then buy the tire for $225 when you can get the RX8 kit for $250 that has everything included! Plus it is an alloy wheel that is lighter and looks 100% better than the tan/yellow supra wheel. It also has a cover included that makes it look like it belongs in the car.... But I guess to each his own thing!

Don't know for sure but when I test fitted the RX8 wheel on my SC430 there was plenty of clearance. Now the RX8 has pretty big brake calipers so it would be a good bet that it would clear.... At $120 or $100 I would take that risk....Worst case you could sell it on here to someone without BBK's

Good point... thanks
I'll either sell it if it doesn't fit or sell my Supra spare if it does.

The RX8 option is referred to as a spare tire "kit". Do we need a "kit" or will the wheel/tire just sit adequately in the spare tire well of the SC 430? Most of the time, I won't keep it in car, so I don't really care if I have it bolted to anything or really secured.

If we DO need the kit and all the mounting hardware, does it work with our cars? Isn't the mounting hardware specifically for an RX8?

Out of the kit you will use the Wheel, tire and cover. The rest of it can be tossed or resold. If you look at the first few pictures in this post, you will see how this all fits. I am using a rubber bungy cord to hold it in place and it is rock solid.
