Default Luxlink - any downsides or problems?

As a relatively (3 months) new owner of my 2006 SC430 I love the car but would really like to be able to have one-touch top operation and possibly remote top operation as well. Luxlink looks like it is the solution, but before I go down that road I was wondering if there are any concerns or issues with the system. Reading through the forum, it looks like most questions are around installation, which I would not do myself. Anything else I should know or consider?

Thanks!

Best mod ever, imho -- follow the online instructions here with pictures (not what you get in the box) and pray a lot.

For some reason, my range seems to have INCREASED lately. Now, when I am on the other side of the street walking to my car, I can drop the top. Freaks out the pedestrians!

I'd try to find someone to do the install who has already done some. Weny in this area (near Baltimore, MD) has done several, including my 2006. Maybe you can do a road trip up here!

The one-touch operation from the dash button is the #1 feature for this device! Makes the car function the way it should have from the factory!

The remotely-drop-the-top function isn't 100% for me but, when it works, it's very cool.

Just tonight, was out with my wife at a pizza joint. When we were done with dinner, I got up from the table (had the car in view in the parking lot), hit the button on the key and, by the time we got outside, the top was already down!

I understand that dropping and raising the windows seperately from the top requires an optional LuxLink module.

The top down with all four windows up looks perfect.

It should have been capable of that from the factory. But at least it's an after market option.
