SC430 wheel spacer/adapter Advice
#31
Well I finally got the spacers!!!! I originally ordered 25mm for the front and 30mm for the back. I ordered H&R's and they cancelled my order because they could not get the 30mm's. So I reordered all 25mm sets and I got them! I put them on and they are difinately an improvement!!!! Below are before and after pictures. I think I am still going to try and find 30mm spacers for the rears. You guys were right on the money with your earlier sugestions!!!!! Anyways they still look a lot better now!!!! Thanks!
Farkas,
Can I ask where you purchased your spacers from? I'm in the market for some for my SC.
Thanks
Shannon

Though I have run H&R bolt on spacers in the past with great success keep in mind that many chain tire stores will not touch a car with spacers, even bolt on. In fact when I questioned them how they would work on factory Porsche's that come with spacers they just looked at me funny and then finally said they don't. just an FYI.

For those who want longer wheel studs, I found some when I changed my wheels last year -
If you need longer wheel studs because your stock studs are too short after adding a thicker rotor for a BBK (2-piece) and after-market wheels, you may want to go to this website. They have both 35mm (threaded length) and 45mm studs: http://www.optionsauto.com/products.asp?dept=7232

I finially got my back ordered 30mm spacers and installed them on the car. They put the wheels out there so they look perfect! So after all has been said, the final set up was with 25mm on the front and 30mm on the rear. I will post pictures in the next few days so the final look can be seen!

I plan to do the same for my future SC430, with the same stock wheels you got now
Thanks for sharing!

farkas,
Looks VERY nice!
Just so I'm clear...that's totally stock except for the wheel spacers?
and Pearlpower,
I know you can't speak for all (or even any) Lexus dealerships but, do you think the dealership would take any issue with wheel spacers?

Yes this is totally stock. I love the looks of the car stock and it can look better with some aftermarket wheels/springs but then you have to worry about the car being picked on. The car stock draws alot of attention and then with the additions, people tend to be jealous and either praise the car or damage it because it is not theirs....I cannot figure it out. Therefore I try to leave it stock and enjoy it as is.
