LED Puddle Light + dome light upgrade!!
#31
i dont think its worth it, the dome light cover doesnt allow enough light through. If it was clear it would be fine. I've had led's in my dome light for a while and it just isnt bright enough. 4 leds in each one btw

maybe you bought a different brand, because the ones I installed have made quite a noticeable difference. I would say its a good 30% brighter than the stock bulbs.
I counted the number of led's before I installed them;
there are 8,
2 rows,
4 in each row.

Does anyone have experience with this LED kit?

(Sorry for the direct link. If it doesn't exist anymore, search on eBay for "SC430 interior light").
It sounds like it has more LEDs for the map lights, but less for the doors than those posted here.
For $39 (free ship), I may try them out anyway, and I'll let you know.

I spoke to my friend whom I bought my puddle lights from and he said he doesn’t have any more in stock. However, I did a little research and found pretty much the same lights elsewhere online. The kit I found is a little bit better than mine as it has 10 lights instead of only 8 per package. They already come prewired and all you need to do it attach and tap into your foot well lights on each side.
Here is the site that carries them currently, and at 25 dollars it is still a steal!

I also spoke to my girlfriend and she said she bought the led dome lights from Pep Boys. They are Pilot automotive ip-078W lights. On the front it says “universal LED interior lights,” the best part is that is comes with adaptors to fit our preexisting sockets. There are 5 or 6 different bases so all you do is choose the one that fits our dome light and you are ready to go. The LED strip already comes with an adhesive strip on the back so installation can be done in less than 5 minutes. She said that Pep Boy’s had it listed for about 20 bucks each, and we would need 2 to complete the look.
I found something similar online to give you guys an idea of what I am talking about.

If anyone needs step by step instructions, just PM me and I’ll give you the run down.
