Default SC430 headlight warning light

I came across a problem on my SC430. This past weekend The Yellow Headlight warning light showed up on the top right corner of the speedometer

I went through the owner's manual and right next to the warning sign it said to take the car to the dealer. Any idea what that light is about

maybe the auto-leveling feature has failed??? Did you check the bulbs? I know, obvious question...

is it on all the time? your car lowered?

when you start the car in the garage (headlights on), does it shoot down, and then up? if not, then the autoleveling has failed

Mine did the same about 6 months ago...

The headlights point too far down so that you can't do any more than about 35mph on a dark lane.

There is a sensor on the rear axle which controls the autolevelling and was changed by the dealer. Everything now fine.

well I checked a few things and here is what I came across. The Auto leveling feature is still working but the bulbs are pointing down. Up untill yesterday the light was on for about 2 minutes or so and then cut off but now its on Permanent.

I guess I will have to take it into the dealer ship to get it looked at.

I have a similar problem with mine. The yellow headlight warning light goes on intermittently. I think it is a sensor issue. Does anyone know exactly where the sensor is located and how to replace it?

Anyone know more about this sensor on the rear axle?

I have an 2003 and the headights seem fine and the do level and point in the middle but the light is still on my dash.

Didn't you change out your tail lights to 2006 model recently? I think thats why the light is coming on your dash. Not to sure, but I heard if you update the taillights on the older SC430, the lights do come on.

The light only comes on if you upgrade the tail lights without the ECU. I have the ECU but the problem is not with the tails. The light you mention with the tails is that if you upgrade without the ECU your dash will show like if one of your bulbs went out. The light have is on the left showing little arrows pointing up and down..So far i hear its a sensor that could be on the front or rear axle.

I think that sensor is on the drivers side rear. Check to make sure the linkage is still hooked up.
