Default Flickering LED DRLs

High Beam: 9005 LED Headlight Conversion Kit from The Headlight Experts ... anyone else had this issue?

Might be time to test their lifetime warranty? Voltage issue? Thoughts?

Did you also buy their cancelling capacitors?

Got solution inbound from responsive support (amazing); needed additional relay connection to get voltage right .... I'll post update once flickering resolved for sure.

Finally got rid of old yellow ugly DRLs. Here's list of parts required:

High Beam: 9005 LED Headlight Conversion KitWarning Cancellers / CapacitorsYes, Include!

Single Beam Premium Power Relay Harness / Anti-Flicker

PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) Module for LED and HID Applications Choose Fitment Size/9006

Make sure you get all three! Total cost for parts less than $150.

Ok. But I wanted to preserve fog lights as true fog lights. Different strokes for different folks 😀

Looks good BuffMan…did you switch out low beams with LED’s? If so, what did you use?

No, we left low beams as is. But interestingly enough, not that we use high beams all that much, huge improvement in those via the conversion.

So is there any brightness difference between drl and high beams? I think it's cuz the car isn't giving full 12v to the OEM halogen bulbs for drl, then gives full 12v on high beam for more brightness. That's why with LEDs it flickers. I'm hesitant on putting LEDs on high beams for this reason. And I do want working full brightness high beams not just for show and colour. Does every thing fit under the factory head lights caps? I haven't looked at them but I know the fog lights have end caps so it limits what type is LEDs you can put.

Or I was thinking if we can just disable the drl, and just have full high beams when we need it.

Put in all the parts I shared and there's no flickering and everything works fine. The DRLs get stepped down voltage and high beams get full.

So is the intensity less as DRLs than when used as high beams, or do they stay the same brightness in both modes?

Intensity of high beams is greater than DRLs.

Awesome! I've been researching the hell out of this and find so much contradictory information, it's ridiculous. I bought a set of Auxbeams with an ALLA anti-flicker kit and returned the bulbs (Amazon). No flicker with that set-up but identical, high output in both modes. I'm going to try what you've listed. Thanks!

I haven't looked too much into this, but are the drls/ high beams do able without pulling bumpers or headlights?
