tire size for 18

for the back tire whats the biggest with tire u can go. what i mean is does it have to be a 275/35/18 or a 265/35/18. can i put it to 265/40/18 or 275/40/18
or even 265/45/18 or 275/45/18

I say you try it. Worst case scenario, you have to shave the inner lips on your rear fenders. Any body shop can do that for about $30 a fender.

try harder to undestand what those sizes mean.
the goal is to go wider while keeping the overall diameter the same.
