Question Michelin Pilot Sport A/s vs PS2

Did those of you, that bought Michelin Pilot Sport A/s, bought it becasue its a all weather tire or because they are better then PS2?

There are no Michelin Pilot Sport A/s availible here in sweden, so thats why im wondering if the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 are comparable or as good as the Michelin Pilot Sport A/s?

Ive also been recommended to buy Michelin Primacy HP. Anyone heard of this tire before?

the ps2 is an ultra high performance summer tire, with wet weather capabilities...

the pilot sport a/s is an all season, ultra high performance tire...

all season tires are good at all conditions, but great at none...

the pilot sport AS will also last a lot longer than the PS2... treadwear 220 vs 400!

For me, it was the treadlife. I suppose the all-season ability definitely helps. I wonder why you do not get the A/S and only the PS2?

The problem is that its seams to be no a/s tires to get here in sweden They've recommended the Michelin Primacy HP (due to the comfort).

Sorry, just a quick off-topic question here. Is the SC a very rare car in sweden? What do people think about it over there?

Ok, it wont be the michelin pilot ps2 coz I prefer comfort (these tires are quite rough, even if they are much much smoother than the original rf) nor michelin pilot a/s beacause there is no such thing here in sweden

Ill go for the Michelin Primacy HP (which is a newer version of the earlier called michelin pilot primacy).

After rigorous testing by Germany's TUV Automotive, it was determined that the Michelin Primacy HP provides at least 25% longer tread life and up to 54% more mileage, giving it great longevity and economy. The tyre, which is ideal for upper sector saloons, was designed using a flexible casing with a rigid tread pattern that creates a bigger patch on the road.

This improves braking and control, especially in the wet where it reduces aquaplaning. The rubber compound with silica lowers rolling resistance to reduce fuel consumption and enhance durability.
Not only is the Michelin Primacy HP long-lasting and safe, but the performance and economy do not suffer for it.

The roads in sweden are very well maintained, as to compare to for example that the houses in sweden have the best standard in the world, which of course is bcoz the weather used to be so damn cold

But the weather is more like "london weather", rain and shine but we have a great summer and autumn with alot of sun

Ok folks, I'm getting the Michelin Pilot PS2's 245/40/18 later this week.
My A/S were very good but as the middle tread became less and less, the road noise was increasing a bit. And I did notice the A/S's had much more thicker tread compared to the PS2's.

I'm getting the PS'2 this time cause of the higher rating of less road noise compared to the A/S's.

I'll let you know how it feels when I slap the PS2's on this week.

ps2's are the best tire for summer/wet weather.
Yes you do need something different for the winter if you have snow, but in dry and wet it's the best.
The ride is softer than a basic runflat tire but not as soft as a a/s tire.
But in no way would I think the A/s comfort is worth getting an A/S over the ps2. It's superior in my mind from experience.

I just got the PS2's slapped on today.
The ride is like cloud 9. Very nice exterior appearance of the tires and no road noise whatsoever.

Any pictures of a Stock 430 with these tires. Just wondering how the look changes from the RFs.

Thanks
