knock sensor ??? or ecu...
i have a 2003 sc 430 supercharged, i recently got a po 325 code [ knock sensor ] i was wondering if any one else ran into having to replace one after 44000 mile ? every one i talk to including lexus say they dont go bad,,, could it be the ecu... once the knock sensor sets the code the lights come on in a litte pretty string, [ engine ] and both [ vss ] lights. also timing stays retarded, and dont reset it self till the code is cleared,, any in sight?

You will rarely see the knock sensors go out on the Lexus vehicle. Make sure the wires aren't cut or the connector came out when installing your s/c. BTW, this is your bank 1. If you have access to a Lexus scanner, I would take a look at the voltage of your knock sensor on bank 1. What s/c are you running? Engine management?

procharger c-2 - i-manage, s-s headers, denso 22 plugs, i have had it on for abought a year now with no problems, the code just poped up one day . i checked the harness going to the sensor and its o.k. i"m wondering why it will not set the timing back to where it is suppose to be after the code ? thats what leaning me toward the ecm, i dont want to just throw parts at it to fix it. any help would be cool....

Hi Mike
The 0325 code is a no signal error from the knock sensor error. Though rare, they do go out. Two choices, ECM is bad or knock sensor is bad or wiring is loose. What type of piggyback A/F unit are you using? If it is wired into the knock sensor circuit I would look there first and check all connections and/or resolder them.

the i - manage is a controler that is not connected to the ecm, its a feul pump that only comes into play under boost. i can set the code just tipping the gas pedal slowly between 2200 2500 rpm sitting in the garage NOT under any type of boost or load, according to my wide band o2 it idles at around 14.5..a/f under boost i have it running fat abought 10.00 to 12.00 a/f pulled plugs both sides look fine. i would hate to remove the plentom to replace the sensor and not be it. any way you know of to check the ecu ? i heard or over sensetive sensors but never ran into it before.
