This varies by your credit and the residual value set by the leasing companies. I have heard of $995 for 36 months from some and $1350 for 36 months from others both with around $8K down. The $1350 I am sure is the highest around and is absolutely ridiculous. This could have been for that stupid Tiffany's Crystal Emblem version in Beverly Hills those guys where trying to sell me by tagging on an extra $10K. I would say $995-1095 per month for a three year lease would be a "normal" range.

Unhappy

Say your new sled would top out at about $67,000.00, with Delivery, Tax, etc., with maybe $5,000.00 down, if you would carry a balence of 62,000.00, less a 5 year old residual equity of $12,000.00, your monthly payment could run in the neighborhood of $850.00 per month, or ,more.

Default leasing

Lexus has a program wherein you can basically "buy down" the money factor/interest rate with a fully refundable deposit. I placed $0.00 down (no capital reduction) and provided the maximum refundable deposit; my payment with all taxes is about $870 mo. for three years. The residual is about 64%. I figured that the reduced money factor gives me a return on my deposit of approx 12% per annum. NOT A BAD DEAL AT ALL.

Go for it!!!

Default BonLaw.....

that deal you spoke of intrigues me. So if I walked into my dealer and asked for that type of financing I would be able to receive it? I would of course put the car in my parents name and they have impeccable credit. I just need somthing to set it off in, I love the GS but my mom is getting one and I can just take hers, I have an SUV for the winter (the LX) so the SC430 could be the weekend and nice weather toy since winter is comming. But how about a 24 month lease or even shorter, I can see myself being easily bored of a car, any car, even a car like that.....I don't know.

Bonlaw, which delaership did you go to and which leasing company did they use? I might pick up an SC430 with a deal like that.

You can also e-mail me at ardipithecus@hotmail.com but others might be interested as well =)

Default LEASING

This is available to anyone through Lexus financing. Go directly to the web site for a short blurb. Your dealer can explain in detail, but it is basically a refundable deposit of a maximum of nine deposits each equal to the monthly payment ($870 x 9). Each deposit reduces the money factor

BTW I opted for 12k miles per year since I do not have far to drive to my office and historically put on less than 8k annually. However, I now use any excuse to drive and when my husband and I go out we often take my car, so I may very well get to the 12K. LOVE THE CAR!!!

Made financial sense to me. Good Luck
