I cut the bumpstop in half to give them the same travel as the stock setup, as suggested. I'm running 18 x 9.5, with 25 offset,in the rear & haven't experienced any rubbing of any kind. I love the handling now & it really rides greats. You do feel the stiffness on bumpy roads, but other than that, everything seems to be fine...hope this helps some
Hi texsexlex,

Did you install the Bilstein HD or Sports? It seems that the Bilstein Sports has shorter body than the Bilstein Heavy Duty (HD) version. That being the case, the Bilstein Sport would allow for wider up and down travel motion (compression-decompression) before hitting the bump stop. But I could be wrong in that the HD picture is shown only in compressed state below.

It is made by Tokico, not KYB as most people had previously thought...

...yea there were some different answers to the rear shocks & who made them. It may have depended on what year the car was, but can't remember exactly

Just using the oem pics to compare. Thanks.

If your car is lowered and mine is not, then maybe I can get away without the need of cutting the bumpstops - if or when I buy the Bilsteins. Does that sound about right?

By the way, what springs do you have and what shocks do you use in front?

Appreciate all the info.

I definitely think you can get away without cutting your bumpstop. I'm actually going to order some new "stops" for my car & see if there is a difference. I love the ride & handling, but those occasional "hard bumps", lets me feel it. It never bottoms out, but can be jarring at times...lol. I'm using the KYB shocks up front & the Bilstein shocks on rear. I also have the Tein S-Tech springs that I bought from Z3NK1, a fellow club member
