How to fix your bent antenna

I too bent the antenna on my wife’s SC in a car wash.
After a $250 quote from the local dealership I ordered an OEM antenna mast for $50(I know more than eBay, but the extra to get it from a Lexus dealer kept the wife happy)
Following these instructions

The job was done it 10 minutes. It doesn’t get easier than this
Thanks

I ended up turning the key in the ignition too far and could not get my antenna to go back in so the link that Adamalbert posted was perfect and everything works great! Thanks again!

Same
Mine broke due to a young new guy at my fave car wash. Im just going to pull it and replace it with a stubby and then plug my phone in with my tape deck converter. If I ever decide to actually fix it I woll worry about it later. Lol

After reading this thread, I came up with a moral to the stories. Wash your SC by hand! I always have and always will.
I would only buy off ebay if I could get a true OEM replacement part. I would be super-pissed if the cable/gear was not the same size in the $18 offering, and it slipped from the drive gear. Usually, one can find Lexus dealers selling true OEM on ebay for 25-30% off of list. Make sure you are buying from a dealer though, as unscrupulous manufacturers are counterfeiting OEM parts and selling them as true OEM parts on ebay.
I've replaced multiple masts over the years on my Toyota/Lexus vehicles and all the procedures have been the same and simple. I've never had issues, but I always used OEM replacements purchased from dealers.
