Hey Guys I have been lurking on this forum long enough now but finally signed up today for this quick question Ive been trying to figure out the chart but really not able to understand it much so hope someone can chime in.
I have a 2004 sc430 on stock shocks with 1.2 inch drop all the way around and was wondering if i could fit 18 inch wheels in this setup. Front: 18 x 8.5 - 20 offset and rear is 18 x 9.5 - 25 offset.
Also if it is do able without fender mods what tire sizes would you guys recommend. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I dropped down to 17" wheels, Work VS-KF in Burning Black. Wheels were 17x8 with a 35mm offset. I mounted Michelin Primacy MXV4 225/55-17 tires. Wow, wow, wow! What an incredible difference. My car now really rides and drives like a Lexus. The difference is so profound as to be almost unbelievable. The ride is sooooooo smooth and much more quiet. I had a GS300 before the SC430 and it rode and drove so smooth and quiet, and now the SC430 rides and drives that way. I hated the run flats. So I had to add a spare tire, but the effort was well worth the results.
I know some are going to flame away at the idea, but I don't care. I hated the RFT ride and noise. Some think you have to have 35 or 40 profile tires to get performance. Perhaps they don't know the Porsche Carrera Coupe came with 50 profile tires until 2005! My car handles great. If the change degraded the handling, I sure can't feel it. If I hadn't already done the conversion, I'd be saving some money to make it the next mod to my car. I couldn't be happier!
I'll post some pics tomorrow!

The original tires had a diameter of 25.7" and I could have gone to 215/55-17 tires. Those would have increased the diameter to 26.3" . Wanting to be sure I had enough sidewall to get a smooth ride, I opted for 225/55-17 tires. This gave a diameter of 26.7" or 1 inch taller than the original tires. Since buying the wheels and tires and seeing what a ride difference they provide, I'm confident I could have gone with 18" wheels and Michelin say a 235/45-18, or a 225/50-18. Stock size is 245/40-18. See: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes This would have been a little over 1" taller than OEM spec'd tires. Also, this tire could work: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes It is only 1/2" taller in diameter than the OEM tires, has a 500 wear index, fits the OEM rim width, is low rolling resistant, and has superior ride and noise levels (see the survey results).
As for the wheels, we didn't much care for the pieplates, so I bought a used set of Work wheels from JapanDyno.com, See: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390476376026...84.m1423.l2649 I went to their website and was able to get a much better deal than thru Ebay. Wheels were $784 including shipping. Downside was the shipping took 7 weeks. New Work wheels are ridiculously expensive, like $1200 per wheel. I got the tires off TireRack for about $780 shipped. Back to wheels, you can usually find used ones on Ebay. Also, look here: http://wheelflip.com/browse/ Just enter 17" or 18" in the size and a bunch will show up. Some of those Work VS-XX wheels look awfully good.
Sorry about the "hazey" pics. It is a real hazey morning and the camera picked it up. The wheels actually have a crisp chrome finish.

It can do 325 or 335 in the rear, I discussed it on this thread about 2 pages ago. Problem is rear on the highway will be very planted on the road and the front tires will be very nimble to the point where their touchy. Nothing I did to the suspension fix it including positive camber rear and negative front or toe in and out.
My findings. You cannot bring the rear wheels out 4 inches to fill the rear well without affecting the ride at high speeds.
The only reason why i sold my sc.

For someone thinking 17's, I found these when looking for something else. Check it: http://wheelflip.com/listing/122/wor...7x9-38-5x1143/
There are other 17's w/ 5x114.3: http://wheelflip.com/browse/p:1/?dia...width=&offset=

Wheel fitment
hello I just purchsed a 2010 Lexus SC430 and would like to put a set of 25mm spacers on the rear and 15mm spacers on the front with the stock wheels and tires. Has anyone ever one this before? Please let me know. I would appreciate it
