just got back from picking up my SC. the 06's are out. there was a black one in the lot and one PBE behind the gate, waiting for delivery. my impressions:

the tiger mica is REALLY brown. i've never seen a brown colored car like it. in short, it looks like liquid milk chocolate (milk choc, not dark or semisweet). it's not particularly appealing IMHO, just too brown, and the metallic flake is hard to see. (i do like the beige-brown that BMW uses and even the espresso edition on the MBs) it just looks like, well, brown... on a positive note, the camel leather is quite stunning, very classy. more subdued than saddle, but very attractive and clean. i like the interior a lot.

the new wheels are ok. the regular 06 SC wheels look boring. on the PB edition however, the center is in graphite and the contrast is quite nice.

the headlights i have mixed feelings about. it's nice that they are clearer, but they have some kind of darkness in the back that make the lights look darker rather than whiter, if you know what i mean (kinda like the new headlights on the BMW 750iL). still nice, just different i guess.

the taillights look great. very nice. wish i could get some of them. much improved over amber/yellow.

all in all, the PBE is definitely distinctive; no doubt it will turn heads b/c it is soooo brown. i did a double take when i first saw it.

In the picture, the Tiger Mica looks sort of like a UPS truck color.

That's for sure but will it have the charisma? Seriously though I can't imagine my owning a brown car however great it looks. Looking forward to picking my new silver SC next Friday.

hahah andrew, you must have missed my other posts... i injured my back severely this past week and i am almost like imobile. it takes me mins to just get in and out of the car, so that's how much pain i have.

oh i wasn't joking at all. i posted this couple of times (especially since our end of summer meet is on and i am the organizer). i can barely get to work and back home these couple of days and just try to get it healed. massage, heat pads, etc.... thanks for asking though

but still i HOPE some 06 pics will be in soon
