Default G-Spyders on SC430

These are accessory wheels for the new GS, but they look quite good on the SC.

I am somewhat partial to mesh wheels so of course this looks good. Nice job.

yeah those wheels are very nice looking. I like the gunmetal finish. They would look very nice on an SC430.

The tire pressure sensor is not really a big deal as adaptors can be adjusted to pretty much most wheels. I have HRE 540R's and HRE has an adaptor kit that allows the pressure sensors to mount on the wheel without it falling off the band. They also work on vettes and other cars who have sensors.

The new GS also have runflats & TMS so I think the sensors are similar & can be attached to the valve stems ?

i think these G-Spyders and the 2006 GS430 5 spokes both would look good on the SC430. I read on the forum a lot of folks that have "other" wheels on the SC430 and never get or care to get the TPMS working or is it for some wheels there is no way to get the TPMS working?

It would seem that with an adaptor you could get any wheel to work with the TPMS?

I am asking because the wheels I have been looking at some were saying just tape over the TPMS inidcator light?

For aftermarket wheels, either you are able to attached the sensors to the valve stems or you have to band & secure the sensors inside the wheels circumference with metal straps. Some aftermarket wheels manufacturer do provide the straps with instructions, but many do not, in which case, you have to just disable the tire pressure warning lights.

which category do you think the G-Spyders and the 06 GS430 5 spoke wheels fall into? Banded or works at the value stem?

As I' ve said above, the new GS has the TPMS, so I think there's a good chance that their wheels might work with the sensors of the SC430 too, which are located at the valve stems. Maybe you can try asking your Lexus service department to verify this.

Hehe here in America it's spelled "G-Spider". I guess it's the whole British English spelling of Tyres and Tires here in America. What a distorted language.
