As I mentioned in my original post to this thread, the source is an internal document from Lexus dated July 7, 2005. There were two additional extracts from this source that I did not post. In both cases, I could not make sense of the CONTEXT. The additional information, with BOLDFACED headings follows under the words "July Production":
SC BUILD STRATEGY - 2006
FL RF SE 17.4%
FL RF 82.6%
Special Edition Quantity: 65
Avg. Production Month: 108
SC COLOR STRATEGY - 2006
Exterior Color (Code) % Install
*Tigereye Mica SE (4T2) 34.7
Black Onyx (202) 14.6
White Gold Crystal (065) 9.3
*Mercury Metallic (1F2) 9.3
*Matador Red (3R1) 13.4
*Chardonnay Pearl (4S7) 2.7
Indigo Ink Pearl (8P4) 4.0
Twilight Amethyst Pearl (3P6) 0%
I find the above information somewhat of a mystery since the EIGHT exterior colors (* = NEW color) total only 88.0%. In the first extract, I speculate that "SE" = "Special Edition". I have no idea what "FL" and "RF" mean. In any event and unlike the "Color Strategy", the two figures total 100%.

I can't speak for Canada but in America, the HP rating will not change. Here is some history
1. The GS 300/SC 300 with the same engine went from a 4 speed to 5 speed auto model year 95 to 96. No decrease in power.
2. The LS 430 with the same engine went from a 5 speed to a 6 speed auto model yar 03 to 04. No decrease in power.
3. I am sure the same thing happens to the SC.

OK so I read in a magazine that the SAE is redoing the way they test HP on automobiles <i think it's pointless but whatever> so now instead of just testing the output of the engine itself, they are now taking in consideration everything else in the engine bay , such as water pump, alternator, etc, pretty much anything that takes power from the engine <in that case why don't they just go ahead and test rwp and get it over with> In other words, when lexus releases newer info on 06 models, dont be surprised to see number closer to those in the UK site, <the SC with the 288hp PBEchicago announced> BUT the cars have NOT loose power, simply the METHOD to determine hp it's different.. say if they weren't to do a make over, 6speed and all that on the 06 model, they hp RATING would've still changed, yet the performance would still be the same

I just received my Quarter 3 issue of Lexus magazine in the mail.
On p. 9, with only a photo of the current 2005 Pebble Beach Edition, Mr. John Rettie of Lexus announced that the new 2006 Pebble Beach Edition will make its debut at the 55th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach Golf Resort in Monterey, California.
See http://www.PebbleBeachConcours.net
This event will occur on Sunday, August 21st on the Eighteenth Fairway.
The article continues, stating that "...the exclusive 2006 SC 430 Pebble Beach Edition will feature a sophisticated Tigereye mica color with elegant matching leather interior and Espresso bird's-eye maple trim. Subtle badges and a Pebble Beach logo on the floor mats will let everyone know that this is a special edition."

With kudos to CL member "Skulinex", Japanese information for the 2006 SC 430 may be found at:
http://lexus.jp/models/sc/design/color.html
for EXTERIOR colors including the NEW "Tigereye Mica" code 4T2 in lower left hand corner. This will be the color for the 2006 Pebble Beach Edition To identify other color codes, see Post #32.

Contrary to my original information, it's logical that the LED TAILlights are new for 2006.
Any comments on "Tigereye Mica" (4T2)? The small photo depicts it as what I would describe as a chocolate brown, not unlike the exterior color of the Carolina Herrera special edition featured at the Madrid Auto Show.
I further note that the colors pictured as 4 through 7 inclusive were not mentioned in US Lexus color codes. These color codes are 1F1 (Cosmic Silver), 6U8 (unknown light greenish hue), 8R6 (Blue Breakwater Metallic) and 1G0 (Dark Gray Mica), respectively. The color descriptions in parentheses resulted from a GOOGLE search using the color code and "Lexus".
Blue Breakwater Metallic (8R6) looks very similar to the original 2004 PBE color "Azure Pearl" (8Q6).
See Post #32 to identify remainder of the twelve color codes.
Any further information on these colors?
Thank you, "Skulinex".

I think it should be affectionately known as "Poo Brown" from now on. I have never cared for any cars that are brown since they look so average. Brown cars have always reminded me of the old late 80's Chevy trucks and Ford trucks that never pulled it off, but from the picture presented on the Lexus website their Tigereye color actually looks pretty good.
But as good as it looks I think it needs to be be called "Poo Brown" and change the color code from Four T Two (4T2) to P Zero Zero (P00).
