Daizen sway bars installed
I had Daizen sway bars installed recently which has resulted in improved handling and much flatter cornering. If you haven't done it yet, do it. I purchased the bars from Todd at TM Engineering in California who charged me only $25 to ship them to upstate New York.
I think they make the ride a tad harsher, although nowhere near as harsh as the ride was with runflats. Any others notice this? Or is It my imagination.

FWIW ... got 25.2 mpg on this 300-mile round trip with average speed 63.1 mph (a lot of construction slowdowns); ECT off, mostly in 5th gear .

1Nice, I agree with you that the ride is a tad stiffer with the new sways. The handling improvement is very noticable in the turns especially when you corner aggresively. One problem that I've had with the new sways is a creaking sound in the suspension that I hear when I go over bumps. I had the dealer relubricate the bushings but it didn't help. Anyone else have this problem?

Hmmm. Dozer mentioned a "harsher ride" too after his install some months ago. He had just installed Teins, sways, wheels and tires almost at the same time. I recommended he desparately needed an alignment which is typically done after a shock, spring or wheel size change. (Although not stated, I think it's a good idea after a swaybar install too, especially if it hasn't been done in awhile.)
Is the cabin bumpier or are you feeling something through the steering?
I had mine installed over "aligned" Tein CS's and original runflats. No harshness. In fact, maybe a bit smoother, but I think that's because they were complimenting the Teins so well.
My advice to you and everyone, sways or not, is get an alignment if you haven't already. I thought my car was in alignment when I bought it and I had no unusual tire wear during the first year. I had an alignment done at 10K miles when I had the Teins installed and immediately noticed that the runflats felt more like non-runflat tires. Yeah, no kidding. In fact, when I finally put on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's, I did not notice as great an improvment as others here have mentioned, and was glad I put a bunch of miles on the runflats before re-tiring.
Your results may differ from mine, but I say get an alignment anyway. Can't hurt.

Can I have some of what you're smoking?
Seriously, thanks for the advice. I have just shy of 9,000 miles on my car and have not noticed any evidence that an alignment is required, but, as you said, you didn't either.

I don't feel anything odd in the steering. The feel is very similar to the effect that runflats had on the car, but not as extreme.

The increased stiffness is actually pretty subtle. You notice it most when going over speed bumps or driveway curbs. Stiffer sway bars reduce the independence of the independent suspension.

Y'know, I'm a pessimist. I figure as soon as I get an alignment, my car will be out of alignment. One of my maxims is "let sleeping dogs lie".
BTW - How the heck do you keep your braids so nice and brown when your beard is so grey?
