The Mustang is a joke.... Looking for a used Audi AWD for November time frame for snow up here in Green Bay. Probably will settle for something else. It is mostly flat, snow clearing services are exceptional in town. Have not had any problems. Out of town is a different matter...
Well, I can always put chains on my Lexus and take it out. Lexus did guarantee against rusting in their warranty after all. What is a little salt and water gonna harm, huh? OK, a LOT of salt and water.

I live in the greater Binghamton area (Vestal). I saw a red SC430 only once. It was sitting outside the Nissan/Volvo showroom on the Vestal Parkway last summer. I wanted to meet the owner, but by the time I was able to turn around (and sit through three different lights) the car was gone. I couldn't see the plates from my vantage point.

There is a smattering of SC300/400s around here, some sedans, but a surprising number of RX300s. You may see more in the Albany area because there's a dealer nearby (Latham, NY).

Binghamton to Albany is a nice ride, eh? Um, that is once you get past the 17 - 7 - I81 junction at Kamikaze Curve.
I travel upstate from Queens for work sometimes. In the Albany area, I've seen 7 SC430's, even more SC300/400's but not as frequent and other assorted Lexi, don't see GS much either.

The dealer in Latham I think you're talking about is New Country. One time, I lost my key and they marked the price up for a replacement about 250% !!!##@

Back on topic: Congrats on the purchase, I know it must be hard to wait, especially after spending all that money!!!

Yes, technics, New Country is the name of the dealer. After hearing your experience, maybe I won't bother visiting them at all. The distance to Latham is the same as to my dealer in Rochester, but it's an easier and more pleasant ride.
I'll stick with my guys at Dorschel Lexus.

bjoraker ... I was hoping your comment about a 'tang for winter driving was a joke ... whew.
Get a Subaru. I've had four of them since '77 and they are fantastic in the snow. Just put four skinny snow tires on and you will go ANYwhere.

A Subaru might just do it. Car will be in Monday, my dealer says
Very excited. My wife can't stand to be around me cuz I'm "acting like a kid at Christmas." I do like instant gratification, but I've waited since the sc430 first came out. Don't know if I'll mod it and the ride on the run flats was not bad at all.

Default Wait A Minute!

First it was Friday.
Then it was Saturday.
Now it's MONDAY!?!

I can't believe you haven't marched down to the dealership and canceled your order!

Are you not a MAN?

I guess I am a hairdresser in spirit then! Bummer to wait so long, though. They are very apologetic, but...

Now, Roofless ....

Would a kid cancel Christmas just because it was a couple of days late?

Default Just In Case...

... I was teasing again.

I don't believe any man has ever canceled a dream car order because it was 3 days late... or three weeks late. We don't have that ability.

Came in Wednesday night, picked it up Thursday night after work. Beautiful... Got a free upgrade to wheel covers and preferred acc package. Do like the wheel covers better than the pie plates. Felt like a milion bucks driving it home! Agh! Bugs already on windshield and front grille after 45 minutes on highway!
Sweet, sweet car. Viper owner at work who didn't like it from online pictures thought it was very, very nice in person.

Wonderful, enjoy it!!! Did you get the pine or black? You don't plan to put the top down and drive around with some cheese head hat on do you? Hehe.

Congrats, I also just got mine from JM Lexus in Margate Fl. I bought a 2003 Red SC with ecru interior. The car only had 12,225 miles on it. Paid 54,000 ,the dealer put new run flat tires on it, new mats, and the car could not be told from a new one. They certified the vehicle to 100K miles after the factory warranty expires in three years, plus are going to provide the next major service on the vehicle. I also had installed a Viper remote start alarm, and invisible bra. I dumped a BMW 330 CI Rag top after owning it for 7 months and having 17, yes 17 items go bad on the vehicle, ranging from the front end to paint peeling from the plastic on the interior trim, yes BMW does not mold the color into their plastic trim, but rather paints them. I am so happy with the Lexus SC430 I could just, well you know......
