Don't get me wrong, ecru is gorgeous, but I will be living in and driving this car a lot . I know I will stain the ecru with ink or dirt quickly or even dog paws. Heresy, yes, but the dog will often be in the back seat on a towel when we drive up to lovely Door County here in WI. Have heard the orange label before on line but I haven't seen a standard unmodified sc430 yet that wasn't attractive. A CT surgeon I know who drives a bright yellow ZO6 says I'm buying a hairdresser's car. Kind of funny to hear that from him. Definitely will have a stand out car. Agh! I feel like a kid counting the days until Christmas. I have waited years for this car - I want it NOW!

By calling it a hairdresser's car he was implying that it was a woman's car or that I was gay. I don't mind if he calls me gay, but it is definitely not a woman's car.... I venture that most posters here are men?

Yes, and since I've had mine I've been doing a very unofficial survey and it seems that most SC430s around here are driven by 50+ women. They may not be on this board but they sure like our car guys.

I saw that Forbes article. Don't care if women drive this car. I don't think this car is "geared" to any sex, but I can see how women are attracted to the luxury, looks and comfort. Drew me in. Don't need a muscle car; this car has plenty of oomph for me. This is the best hard top convertible out there under $100K IMHO. Drove the others and the build quality on this car is just so superior. Got a call today and may be able to pick it up in the afternoon tomorrow! Or Saturday AM

Thanks for all the congrats and kidding also. The car is on a truck from the East "somewhere" and may get here tomorrow (Saturday). Possibly, Monday, but even that's not for sure... I'll be back to work then and hope I can get off in time to get it Monday. That would really blow chunks if I couldn't as the kid across the street says. Come to think of it, I used to say that.
It's just a car, I remind myself. It is just a car. If I get worked up over this then I will be disappointed so I just won't think about it anymore. Not a problem. It's just a car, dammit...
There is a nice Mustang convertible down the road for $11,900 that would make a nice winter car. HMMM...
