personally i would really love to see the 6 speed tranny

Before I bought my '04, I was weighing the '04 vs. '05 wait. My buddy at the dealership (who may or may not have accurate information, admittedly) said that his understanding was that the only potential changes for '05 in the works include the addition of rain-sensing wipers and a (and this was a big maybe) suspension modification.

I assumed that there could be additions like the adjusting headlights that are on the LS and RX, but decided not to wait. I typically don't keep cars longer than 18 months anyway, so I wasn't overly concerned.

Those would be great additions. I've never had XM, but people who do say they wouldn't live without it now. As for the keyless option, my parents have it on their LS and absolutely love it.

Default Another choice

You might want to check out the Lexus concept car which, as I understand it, could be out in the next 2 years. Go to google and search for: Lexus LF-C. The first couple of sites will do it.

I'd be interested in anyone elses comments on this new Lexus design.

That'll be the next IS coupe/convertible though, not the next SC.

There're no changes. Just received the Lexus magazine, and a 'new' '05 pebble beach edition in black with red interior was featured there, and no mention of any changes. Certainly looks identical.

The only change I envision for this generation car if at all is the 6-sp tranny... if it fits. This is if Toyota is consistent with previous models: SC/GS got the new tranny/engine at mid cycle too, but no other changes (I really wanted the trip computer on my '96 SC). Engine or tranny changes to standardize only makes sense because they keep their costs down. Maybe for '06? Or mid-05 after inventory is depleted? Who knows.

We'll know soon enough, but the car will look exactly the same for '05. Go for it.

I feel the same way. Are there people who actually like the pie plates?

All I can say is I love cars. Plus I color coordinate my ties with the color of the vehicle I am driving that day. J/K -- I will be getting rid of the G35 in about 6 months or so - It's been causing to many problems plus all the recalls from Infiniti are getting ridiculous.

Thanks for your help guys - I have negotiated with Superior Lexus for $60,000 out the door- with every option.

Congrats !! I wish I could have both the SC430 & LS430 like you I've never had a single problem with my G35 coupe 6MT through nine months of ownership though.
