I bought a "gently used" 2002 silver/black from a private party in April 2004. It had 10,000 miles, run flats, spoiler, and Lexus chrome rims (which he paid $3000 for). it was in perfect condition. He parked it on top of carpet in his garage!
I paid $48,500.

Brand new '04: $59,000 cash, but method of payment shouldn't make a difference on the price. Mine came with spoiler, runflats, and trunk/floor mats, as most do, with a sticker of $64,285. Mileage after 7 months: 1,300. Only time at dealer was for door rattle TSB: missed the VIN range by TEN. Don't want to know the cost per mile so far
Go for it.
Go for it.

03 SC 430 New
I paid $60,000 for a new 03 SC 430, Absolute Red with Saddle interior. Car is equipped with RFT's,spoiler, wheel locks, trunk mat, cargo net and gold package. I traded in an 01 Mustang GT convert for $17,200 and $42,800 cash.Sticker was $64,134.
The dealer prefers that you finance through him becuase in addition to profit he makes on the sale of the car he also gets a kick back from the finance company. That is why one of the first question a salesman will ask is how do you intend to pay for the car. He's already calculating kick back he will receive from financing. If no financing he may try to raise the price of the car.
I have owned mine since Jan 03 and it has been trouble free. Great car,Love it.

I feel like a bit of a chump having paid $62,500 for my '04 at Lexus of Bellevue, WA. I traded in my '01 BMW 330 xi and got 27k for it. Paid cash for the difference so at least I didn't get taken for the financing. I also refused all the worthless dealer add ons like top coat, undercoat etc. That always pisses the dealer off. I wish I had seen this thread before I bought.

It was a brand new '02, near the time the car was very new. It had everything and chrome aftermarket rims. The manager said he paid 6 grand for the rims but would stick to charging us 5 grand. I must say, we were totaly clueless and we bought it in a haste i guess, it was my moms B-day gift.
I would NOT recommend Desert Lexus in CA

Congratulations to all you guys that paid less than $60K. We have three dealers in Phoenix and after checking each one, I went back to Scottsdale Lexus where I bought my ES and RX. The sticker on my '04 was $64,243 and I paid $61,500 plus tax & license. Wish I saw this forum before March 20... Oh well, live and learn,,,

Honestly the best deals on new SC430s come out of the Los Angeles area. With a bit of negotiating you can get $58.5k easily, and if you grind away you can get $58k.
I emailed all 202 Lexus dealers in the 48-states before purchasing mine.
I wound up getting a 2003 Egyptian Sand/Saddle (my exact desired combo) with 8k miles for $52,000 flat. Came with Maya TS 2-piece wheels (about $5500 for the wheels and tires). The previous owner paid full MSRP, plus tax, plus the wheels, $75k+ total. He got $50k or so less than a year later. OUCH!!!

i searched all over cali b4 i bought mine. it turned out the best deal was in my home town (Putnam Lexus Redwood City). I found that dealers in l.a. were not willing to negotiate but i had all the nor cal dealers fighting for my business. Get on the www.lexus.com and call every dealer in your state....make them work for your business. I paid 59500 plus tax and lic........white/ecru....wheel covers. and all the little extras. I still think i could of got it cheaper but who cares.... i love the car. no trade in and i financed through my credit union......and fyi...the dealer will rip you on a trade in....you might think ur getting a cheap price on your purchase but its only because u got low balled on the trade in.
