It's weird to see our car in right-hand drive, huh?
I also expected to see the 'toyota' badge in Japan, not the 'L'; heard they might launch Lexus there as well, and this could be an indication.
And the SC slammed looks like a lifted corvette; not my cup of tea.
Good day people.

They are launching the Lexus brand in Japan as we speak. Lexus was at the Tokyo auto show. I'm suprised that our car is the SC430 there instead of the Soarer that is has been. Are they going to keep both the Soarer and SC430 nameplates for Toyota and Lexus respectively?? I guess since this is like the SEMA show here, they could have just "imported" some Lexi from our shores to show various mods and things. They don't necessarily have to just show Japanese nameplates at that show I guess.

Good info Doc.
And no, no way they'd keep both 'brands' IMO; the 'premium' vehicles would be transferred over the Lexus brand to provide better warranty and service, just lke in the US. A $60K+ car owner expects better service and warranty than a $15K corolla; it's just expected. That's the same feeling most Corvette owners have now about their $50K+ toys being serviced next to $10K Cavaliers and Metros, and with the same mundane warranty (and no loaner) as those.
Good day.
