2002 vs 2003 Suspension
I spoke with a guy in our office parking lot the other day as he got out of his SC430 and asked him how he liked it. He couldn't say enough nice things about the car, though he did have one reservation. He said that he has now gone through his 6th tire on the car and he only has 21k miles on it. He said his is a 2002 and that his daughter, who drives a 2003, still has on her original tires at 17k miles on it. He says the suspension is weak in the 2002 and was corrected in the 2003 models. At $340 a tire he says that it's more frustrating than anything. I confimed he has the run-flats and was surprised to hear such low-mileage use coming from them. I understand the sales brochure says that owners should expect to get 20k miles or less on them, but good grief 6 tires in 1.5 years is a bit much. Any of you agree with him?
Thanks,
Thanks,

My wife's SC430 has 19,000 miles on the original run-flats, and they still look good. And almost all the driving has been on city streets. I'm amazed, frankly. The car was one of the first ones delivered in the US.
