W58 Transmission 68K Babied, Verified Miles $700
Hi,
1) The transmission we just pulled from my 95' SC300 is for sale. I am swapping in an R154. I got the car from a middle aged lady in Ky. who babied the car. I put 1000 EASY miles on it as the clutch was going and I was trying to preserve it until this swap. It comes with the 2J bell that is on it. This tranny never saw boost.
Yes I am asking good money for it but I have never seen one for sale with mileage this low and a verifiable history free of abuse.
If you want a W58 that has the best chances of surviving, this would be it. If you want to beat one up, you might want to choose another.
I was going to use this with my turbo build but decided it was much better to preserve it for a car it is properly mated with.
2) The mint drive shaft is also available. $150
3) I also have a swap kit for the 1UZ/W58. I would consider selling as well. It's an adapter plate, Act clutch and flywheel for a 1UZ/W58 swap. $350 (clutch disk looks a bit beat, PP looks fine).
THIS TRANSMISSION HAS ABOUT ONE THIRD THE MILEAGE OF THE AVERAGE W58 FOR ONE TO TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE!
