FS: Black Carpet- MINT MINT MINT
This carpet is out of my '95 SC400. I've always kept my interior immaculate and used not only the OEM floor mats but also heavy duty rubber mats to keep the carpet clean. A few years ago I dyed this carpet using RIT dye as per RedPhoenix's DIY. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...ng-carpet.html
It began fading in the upper portions in the last few months from sitting in heavy sun with no tint on the windows. I pulled it out and have been soaking it in the RIT for the last 3 weeks. It's perfectly evenly BLACK all over the carpet. This is a SOAKED dye job, and not from a spray can. It's even, soft, and feels just like new factory carpet. It is not crunchy or bunchy like a spray job.
This is a MINT condition carpet. That means no visible rips, tears, burns, foot wear, fading, nothing. It is PERFECT.
The pictures are from today immediately after rinsing and vacuuming the dye from the carpet. The carpet is still damp in the pictures.Yes it looks splotchy in the pictures. It's the knap laying in different directions from vacuuming. It's going to be left to dry for the next few days while I'm out of town. When I return I'll be cleaning it again to make sure it's fresh for the new owner. If I get back and it's not still perfectly black, I will soak it in more dye again. This carpet is too nice to have half-assed.
$250 shipped OBO.
