From the pictures, I'm assuming you ran them for 500 miles but you bought them used and not new before you ran them, correct?

Yes I bought them used, they came from some company in CA that buys used parts from Japan in bulk, so I do not know how many miles were on them before I got them, they were only on my car for about a 100 miles, they ran great and there was no problem with the dampening. The paint is a little green paint is a little chipped on the shock tower but that was due to Installation/ removal not road use
