Ebay offers them for $237.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tanabe-NF210...cfdc9f&vxp=mtr

I am offering them for $17 less than the Ebay price(230)...same brand, model, and box. And the ones on Ebay are no longer available.

My Megan coil-overs had a rep for being the most comfortable riding of the coil-overs. I found them a high quality item and very cost effective......but....I removed them to get a better ride. It is a matter of what you want.

Thank you for looking,

John

FYI

The NF210 setup looks to be just a tad higher than your pics of your SC. Certainly lower than stock but nowhere near "slammed".

No! Obviously I can't add. My original asking price was $230 shipping paid by me. BUT...I guess I just jewed myself down when I offered them for "$237 minus 17" So I guess you can have them for 220 and I will ship. I wasn't clear and I also wasn't thinking straight...my bad.

I cannot testify to their durability. They are made in Japan so I would "think" the steel would be good stuff. I have heard nothing bad except for your experience that yours sacked in three years. People that do have a handle on such things encouraged me to go with these so I felt they were recommended.

Let me know,

John

I have been traveling is why I didn't get back to you all sooner.

I'm confused on how these could have gone "shot" in any amount of time. Worst case, the springs will peel and rust. I'm not sure how a properly designed spring could break otherwise.

Break? No. That would be Amurkan Iron. (And, I am a vet). But, sack? Yes, any steel spring will sack...some take more time. My stock Lex springs were sacked, but not slammed, after a mere 11 years. All the "soft ride" part of the coils were used up and the springing was a tad harsh. Maybe the word "shot" is a might harsh but "in need of replacement" is sure appropriate.

"Shot" in three years isn't the norm, I would think, for high quality Japanese hardware. But, that isn't to say that nobody ever got a bad set. The performance of spring steel is very sensitive to the precise % content of the various metals in the blend and how and when they are added in the heating/melting process. And, every bit as important is the hardening and tempering process. There are just so many things that can go wrong that there not ever being a bad batch is an impossibility but I think the quality Japanese products are as near to flawless as we can get on the consumer level.

bump to the top.

I have Bils on the car with Tein springs. The springs are not anywhere near what the mfr said. To get the rear DOWN 1 inch and to RAISE the front 3 inches.....I had to fab adjustable perches for the springs. Long and sordid and expensive process....machine shop and all. BUT....I have Bils and my ride height is adjustable so I have arrived....so to speak. In chasing this I bought a set of KYB GR-2 s with the Tanabe NF 210 springs. They are almost the equal of the Bilsteins and had I gotten the KYs to start I would have stopped there. Did I mention that the Bils were for a Toy Supra TT? Fact....the Bils aren't made for the SC X00. Thought some might have wondered how this got started off. My extreme harsh ride problems turned out to be tires so the Bils looked as attractive to me as they once did. Bilsteinns are the only shock I have never worn out and I have put them on a bunch of ars and motor cycles. The KYB is a premium shock and should last as long as any can expect. I am not trying to ditch my failure or junk off on the board/forum members.

Thanks for looking.
