As the subject reads, I'm hopefully searching for someone around the DC/VA/MD metro area with a 1995 SC300 M/T ECU. I need it pretty ASAP. I bought an SC over the weekend and it's pouring out fuel from exhaust. After doing some research I'm told it's the ECU. I found a forum member located in Florida with one, but I'd like to get this cars emissions inspected ASAP. I was going to paypal the money to him, but I had to add some funds which will take 3-5 days, plus they need to clear the cash, package the item, ship to me, etc. I'm looking at a possible two weeks I bet. My GF whom I lived with for three years is giving me hell for not having this car on the road. I can't blame her, I just spent $7,000 dollars of our savings, and some of that money was suppose to go to other things. Every morning she gives me a ride to work and we frown at the SC in the garage. Anyways I can meet up with you anywhere in the metro area and can pay with cash. Help me save my happy home
I think it has to be a manual transmission ECU. I'm not sure if the years have to match though. I just bought my car on Saturday. When it warms up, the smoke goes away slightly, but I doubt it will pass Virginia's hardcore emissions testing. I get a strong smell of gas and fuel coming from the exhaust smoke. I think the injectors are pouring too much fuel, and I've received numerous suggestions to simply swap the ECU. My Brazilian girlfriend will turn into a pissed off rattlesnake if I don't get this car on the road ASAP lol.
